Mission Statement: CHS 61-64 Alumni Association

The CHS 61-64 Alumni Association is a not-for-profit group of unpaid volunteers (see Contact List, right) organized to provide an enhanced reunion experience for alumni from the Campus High School charter graduating classes of 1961, 1962, 1963 & 1964 who plan to attend the gala celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the opening of Campus High School on the weekend of October 15-17, 2010.

It is our stated mission and objective to provide charter alumni:

~ A discounted group rate at one or more area hotels or motels for those charter alumni coming from out of town who require lodging;

~ A separate meeting place, with soft drinks & snacks, exclusively for charter alumni and their guests, before the homecoming game on the evening of Friday, October 15, 2010;

~ A separate meeting place for the afternoon and evening of Saturday, October 16, 2010, where charter alumni and their guests can congregate, including a catered evening meal, and;

~ A designated location for a charter alumni farewell breakfast on the morning of Sunday, October 17, 2010.

We recognize that many of our alumni are now retired and living on fixed incomes and, therefore, we are doing everything within our power to keep the cost of participating in our charter alumni specific events as low as humanly possible. To that end we are offering for sale a selection of high-quality reunion apparel items, embroidered with a distinctive commemorative logo, and will use the profits from these sales to offset some of the costs of these events. These items start as low as $12 for a brushed twill baseball cap (see below) and include both men’s and women’s apparel as well as some unisex items. Anticipated expenditures include rental of a facility for the Saturday events, laminated identity badges for registered alumni and their guests, soft drinks and snacks for the Friday evening and Saturday afternoon gatherings, decorations for the Friday evening and Saturday events, hiring a DJ for the Saturday evening event, miscellaneous supplies, etc. It is our sincere hope that these apparel sales will generate sufficient funds to offset all non-meal expenditures for our planned events for charter class alumni and their guests..

Note: Any funds which might be left over at the conclusion of this 50th Anniversary celebration will be donated to Campus High School for use at future class reunions.
